Located in Portland, Oregon, the stage makes for the perfect speakeasy, with all seats flexible to face the stage or move for private conversations among your table. Panels were installed not only to draw attention to the stage but also for noise control.
I fully created the bar from a sketch, and I was able to build it in CAD and load it into Revit. The hexagon shape carries the "honeycomb" resemblance throughout, with stained glass lighting up the back of the counter as well.
Working within the bones of the original building, a triangle footprint, and the abundance of natural light from the large glass garage doors offered unique opportunities to this buzzing coffee house. hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Keeping the original ceiling tile of the building while bringing it to life with a fun wallpaper and bright pastel color palette. Considering different seating options in what little space I had, offering high tops, a booth, and lounge chairs creates flexibility.
